Beatrice Awino Ongoro

23rd September 1958 – 26th April 2025

With humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the passing of Beatrice Awino Ongoro ( Awino Sweetie) on Saturday 26th April, 2025.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph Osewe OKinda and the late Mama Kathorina Oloo Osewe. 5th born in a family of 11. Loving sister to the Late 1. Maria Atieno, 2. Anthony Osewe Okinda, 3. Nelly AKoth Odipo, 4. Mary Aluoch, 5. Pamela Ngesa Arogo, the 6. Late Joseph Othieno ( Ojes), the late 7. Caroline Apondi, 8. Joseph Oduor Osewe ( Adach), 9. Maureen Atieno ( Titi) and the late 10. Joakim Osewe ( Chama).

Awino Sweetie is survived by one biological daughter Elizabeth Akinyi Mökkönen, and son in-law Veijo Sakari Mökkönen of Finland. She is grandmother to Issa Ramadhan, Duwayne Osewe Juma and Hope Beatrice Awino.

Awino Sweetie was a mother to very many and grandmother to several, she leaves behind a legacy of love to everyone that she came across.

We thank God for the gift of her life and the beautiful memories she left us with to treasure forever.

Colour theme WHITE

We leave Ndori for the JOOTRH Morgue (Private wing)

Mom is taken to St.Joseph Catholic Parish in Millimani Kisumu.

Mass at the church and we go back to Ndori for a night vigil, candle light memorial and Celebration of mom’s life.

10.05.2025

Colour theme : Black

Mom leaves Ndori for cremation at the Hindu crematorium in Kisumu (Private Family Affair)

The family returns with Ashes, and there will be prayers in Ndori.

After the prayers guests/ mourners leave at will.
