With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Neddy Rakama Imende on Friday, December 6, 2024. Neddy was married to the late Paul Batroba Imende. She was a daughter of the late Mzee Jeremiah Walusala Rakama and Rebecca Nekunda; sister of the late Susan Udoto, Betty Wasike, the late Washington Rakama, Johnson Rakama, the late Enid Washika, Hannigton Rakama, the late Bande Rakama and Stanley Rakama; Enock Khasali, Florence Naswa, Dismus Wafula and others. She was sister-in-law of the late Thomas, Lois, Eliseba, Joseph and Opisa Imende; Renson, Tabitha and Duncan Imende; the late Mark Udoto; late Hon. Wasike Ndombi, Michael Washika and others.
She was mother of the late Martin Imende, Vera Obonyo, Jimmy and Christopher Imende and mother-in-law of Prof. Levi Obonyo, Elizabeth Wanjiru and Lorine Akinyi. Grandmother of Olyvia Lavisa, Jesse Omido-Ridge, Lisa Obonyo, Anita Obonyo, Jayson Imende, Brian Imende and Briella Imende
She was an aunt of Boaz Imende, Kenneth Etale, George Makokha, Gilbert Udoto, Dr. Simbauni Ndombi, Anderson Rakama, Brian Rakama, Tony Washika, and Dr. Stella Rakama, among others.
Meetings are held daily at her home in Kabula, Bungoma and Meladen Restaurant, Upper Hill, Nairobi.
Her body will be interred on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at her home in Kabula location, Bungoma.
