Nancy Mumbi Mimano

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden demise of our beloved Nancy Mumbi Mimano which occurred on 17th July 2024 at the Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH). Until her demise, Nancy worked at the USAID, Nairobi.

Nancy Mumbi Mimano, daughter of the late Nahashon Livingstone and Beatrice Muthoni Mimano, was born on 24th November 1962. Nancy was the devoted mother of Tracy Waringa Mimano and Catherine Wamuyu Mimano and a devoted grandmother to Charlie. She was a sister to Antony Mimano (late), David Maina (late), Catherine Wamuyu, Joshua Karuiru (late), Geoffrey Mbatia, Lucy Nyokabi, and Sylvia Wanjiru. She was a cherished auntie to the late Didie Wanjiru Mbatia, Abdi and Hamlet Mimano, Zaria Muthoni, Bem and Terry Mimano, Trevor and Vivian Mimano, Kevin Mbatia, Maina Mimano, Stephanie Waringa, the late Menelik Mimano, Sheba Muthoni, Beatrice Muthoni Mbatia, Nash Mimano, and Cleo Mimano. She was also grandmother to Ethan, Shahi, Grace, Leilani, Liam, Drew, Adrian, Kilian and Jeffy.

Nancy leaves a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and unwavering support to her family. and those who knew her. She will be missed and always remain in our hearts.

Family members, friends and well-wishers are meeting daily for prayers on Mirema Lane, towards USIU gate B. A memorial service to celebrate her life shall be held on 25th July 2024 at 2.00pm and she will be laid to rest on 26th July 2024 at 10 a.m. at the family homestead in the same venue.

Rest easy, Nancy. Know that you made a difference. You mattered more than you ever knew.
